St. Joseph Woman Joins Local Guard Unit

Nakeisha Ekpe of St. Joseph recently enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard and will serve with the 548th Transportation Company in Trenton.

Ekpe will train with the Recruit Sustainment Program at the Mayes Memorial Armory in St. Joseph to prepare her for basic combat training. After basic training Ekpe will later receive instruction for her military occupational specialty as an automated logistical specialist in September at Fort Lee, NJ.
