Larry Howard, a 68-year-old Kansas City resident, died at 4:15 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City while under hospice care.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at the Galt Christian Church. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
A family visitation is scheduled the hour before the services.
Mr. Howard was born on July 2, 1943 in Kansas City, KS, the son of Russell E. Howard Sr. and Pearl Margaret May. He was married to Paula Howard on May 11, 1978 at Paola, KS. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass company for 45 years and retired in 2008.
He was a member of the Galt Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Howard of Kansas City; two sons, Richard E. Howard of the home and Christopher Lee “Bubba” Howard of Kansas City, KS; one daughter, Belinda May Rooks and her husband, Dale; two brothers, Russell E. Howard, Jr. and his wife, Dodie, of Olathe, KS and Leonard “Len” May and his wife, Marilyn of Blue Springs; a sister, Roberta “Bert” Clevenger of Blue Springs; and two grandchildren, Emily and Logan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Howard.
The family suggests memorials to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home (Galt Unit) and sent to the Galt Christian Church, PO Box 55, Galt, MO 64641.
