Busy Bees 4-H Club Has Meeting

The Busy Bees 4-H Club met on Jan. 20 at the Laredo Community Center with 10 members, five leaders and three guests present.

President Tyler Kidd presided over the meeting. Haley Kidd led the Pledge of Allegiance and Morgan Foster led the 4-H pledge. Roll call was answered with each member telling what their favorite Christmas present was.
Members decided who would set up and take down the election equipment for the upcoming election. Project meeting report forms were handed out to everyone. Robert Urich reported on his woodworking project, Haley Kidd and Allena Allen reported on their foods project and Allena also reported on her beef project.
Kristi Urich explained what a member in good standing is and reminded all livestock project members about completing their SMQA. The club sang “Happy Birthday” to Peyton Moore for his January birthday. Leaders were reminded to complete their online volunteer orientation process.
Cooper Lewis gave a demonstration on ‘How to make your own bouncy ball’. For recreation, members participated in a science experiment on floating and sinking objects. Then they played balloon soccer. Refreshments were brought by the Foster family.
The next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 17
