Ada Ann Lindsey, an 85-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at the Edgewood Cemetery in Chillicothe. General visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
Mrs. Lindsry was born on Oct. 20, 1926 in Brookfield, the daughter of Orville W. and Pearl Bell Hutchison Cassity. She moved to Chillicothe with her family in the early 1930s and attended Chillicothe schools, grading from Chillicothe High School in 1943. She was married in Trenton on Sept. 22, 1945 to Wade Lindsey, who preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2000. They moved back to Chillicothe in 1950 and the couple spent the rest of their lives there.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church at Chillicothe. She enjoyed visiting her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Wilma Moore and her husband, Ron of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Curtis Moore of Chillicothe and Donna M. Shear and her husband, Todd of Kearney; four great-grandchildren, Spencer J. Burns of Liberty, Lindsey M.Burns and Carson W. Shear of Kearney and Cameron L. Moore of Chillicothe; two great-great-grandchildren, Landen J. Burns and Wiatt L. Moore of Chillicothe; a brother-in-law, Gene O’Dell of California; two sisters-in-law, Wilma M. Lindsey Doolin of California and May Cassity of Chillicothe; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; an infant brother, Orville Cassity; a brother, Edward Lee Cassity; a sister, Elizabeth Ruth Cassity O’Dell; and a daughter, Bettie Marie Lindsey.
