Firefighters with the Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District provided mutual aid to the Spickard Fire and Rescue on Sunday evening.

According to firefighters, they responded to land owned by Jim Gadberry at 753 Highway Y. A neighbor had been conducting a controlled burn during the day and it went onto the Gadberry property in the evening. No structures were involved or threatened during the fire.
