A photo contest will be taking place at Swan Lake National Wildlife Refuge during the Sneak-a-Peek. Photos must be taken during the Sneak-a-Peek, Saturday, Feb. 18, while gates are temporarily open to the public.

Photos must be submitted to Refuge staff in the Visitor Center for printing between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on that day. Digital photos that can be downloaded and printed are all that is allowed. Refuge staff will display the photos for voting by the visiting public on March 3 during the Swing the Gates Open celebration. The winner will be announced at 3 p.m. on March 3. A grand prize will be awarded to the winner from the Friends of Swan Lake NWR Gift Shop.
Swan Lake NWR is located one mile south of Sumner, and managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service as a unit of the National Wildlife Refuge System.
