County schools have been holding a local spelling bee, choosing two students and one alternate from each of the fifth, sixth, seventh and eight grades who will participate in the countywide event. During Friday’s event, students will “spell down” to determine the two finalists who will participate in the regional spelling bee, which will be held on March 10 in St. Joseph.
