Kenneth D. Sims, a 66-year-old Trenton resident passed away Tuesday morning Jan. 24, 2012 at the Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

A visitation is scheduled from 6 until 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at Whitaker- Eads Funeral Home in Trenton. The body is to be cremated following the visitation.
Open visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012.
Mr. Sims was born June 18, 1945 in Grundy County to Glynn and Nadine Bell Campbell Sims. He graduated from Galt High School and owned and operated Sims Digging Service.
Mr. Sims is survived by his wife, Peggy Sims of Trenton; three sons, Mike Sims and his wife, Karen and Steve Sims and his wife, Melissa, all of Trenton, and Mark Sims of Jefferson City; two sisters, Doris Axtell of Trenton and Debbie Smith of Boonville; and six grandchildren, Mandy Betz and her husband Skylar, Tiffany, Krystal, and Julia Sims, and Casey and Zachary Scott.
Those preceding him in death include his parents; two brothers, Glen Dean Sims and Jim Sims; and a sister, Lois Jean Vincill.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor’s choice and may be left at the funeral home.
