All area teams were in action Tuesday night in girls-boys doubleheaders.

Grundy R-5
Neither Grundy R-5 team could get into the win column as the Lady Panthers and Panthers were handed HDC Conference losses by Ridgeway. The Lady Panthers fell 53-46, dropping them to 0-10 on the season. Shelbi Stimpson led the Lady Panthers with 22 points and Kylie Littleton and Marina Munday added seven and five points respectively.
The Panthers also fell to 0-10, losing 68-41. Brody Hatcher led the Panthers with 17 points while Destin Gann added 13 points and 11 rebounds and Mason Larson scored six points. Clayton Radcliff had five points and seven assists and Elliott O’Neal finished with five rebounds.
Gilman @ Newtown
Gilman City scored a sweep of Newtown-Harris. The Lady Hawks won 53-40 and the Hawks ended the Newtown boys’ home winning streak with a 72-70 victory.
Leading the Lady Hawks were Saige Johnson, who had 18 points; Kady Sperry, who had 10 points and six assists; Morgan Reed, who had 10 points; Mikayla Toombs, who had nine points and nine rebounds and Jill Newton, who had 11 rebounds. Newtown was led by Becca Johnson, who had 19 points, and Mercedes Foster, who had 14 points.
For the Gilman boys, it was Mason Ward leading the charge with 23 points. Corey Rouner had 14 points, Ryan Burrows added 13 and Brennon Carey had 11. The Newtown boys were led by Adam Crawford, who had 26 points and Micah Busick, who had 21.
Tri-County
Tri-County drew a split with Winston on the road as the Lady Mustangs fell 52-37 and the Mustangs won 65-42.
The Lady Mustangs were led by Madison Huston, who had eight points and seven rebounds. Paiten Hamilton added seven points and five rebounds and Briana Hixson had seven points and five steals. For the boys it was Myles Dustman showing the way with 29 points and five rebounds. Gary Eads added 15 points, four assists and two steals. The Mustangs are now 9-4 on the season, while the girls fell to 3-10.
Princeton
The Princeton boys were handed a 57-49 loss by South Harrison at home and the Lady Tigers fell as well 52-40.
The Tigers were led by Caleb Wyatt, who had 23 points, and Jake Letner, who had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists. Brant Faulkner added 10 points, eight rebonds and three assists. No scores were reported for the Lady Tigers as of press time.
