The Hawks jumped out to a big lead early on, thanks in part to a lot of pressure defense that the Redmen were unable to handle. The Hawks backed off, but the damage was done and Gilman cruised to the win.
Leading the way for Gilman was Brennon Carey, who scored a game-high 15 points. Mason Ward had 12 points and Corey Rouner and Ryan Burrows each scored 10 points.
Both the Gilman City boys and girls teams will be back in action on Tuesday night as they travel to Newtown. Action tips off at 6 p.m. with the girls game.
