Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be the featured speaker at the annual meeting of the Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri, Inc., scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Holiday Inn Ballroom in St. Joseph.

Secretary Vilsack will speak about revitalizing rural American, addressing issues directly related to rural regions such as northwest Missouri. He will address rural community development and discuss regional solutions to current challenges facing rural America.
The event begins with breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by the program featuring Vilsack. He will then visit the KQ-2 Ag and Rural Lifestyle Show at the St. Joseph Civic Arena.
