Marion Rose Sibbit Neff, an 81-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011.

Mrs. Neff was born in Galt on June 15, 1930, the daughter of Vail Sibbit and Ethel Mae Woods. She grew up and went to school in Galt. After leaving school, she lived and worked in Utah, Oklahoma and Kansas before moving back to Missouri in 1963. She lived most of her life in the Galt/Humphreys area, where she ran the Humphreys Grocery Store, milked cows and farmed.
She was married on June 3, 1946 to Francis W. Neff. The couple retired in 1977 to Chelan, WA, where they built their own home. Marion enjoyed animals, especially dogs, and took care of many orphaned wild and domesticated animals. For the last two years, Mrs. Neff was taken care of by her granddaughter, Heather Neff.
Mrs. Neff is survived by her sister, Patricia Brockwell and her husband, Tom; a son, Rick Neff and his wife, Abby; a sister-in-law, Linda Lou Minich; eight grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Rodney Neff and David Neff; and a daughter, Becky Allnutt.
