According to Grundy County Treasurer/Collector Colleen Williams, the office will be open from 8 a.m to 4:30 p.m. this week and on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. The office will be open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30 and from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Dec. 31, which is the last day to pay taxes without a penalty being assessed. Payments that are mailed must have a Dec. 31 postmark to be considered paid on time.
