Candidates File On First Day For April 3 Election

Tuesday marked the opening day for persons to file for the April 3 city, school and nursing home elections.

In Trenton, fourth ward city councilman Larry Huffstutter of 3697 Serendipity Lane has filed for re-election. Also filing in the second ward was Rickey E. Mason of 503 E. 19th St., who will face incumbent Kenneth Ewing of 714 W. 15th St. In addition to Huffstutter and Ewing, other council members with terms expiring are first ward councilman Jacob Black and third ward councilman Chuck Elliott.
North Central Missouri College had two persons file for the Board of Trustees, including incumbent Don Dalrymple of 401 Kitty St. Also filing for the board was Robert Maloney at 2613 Meadowlark Lane. There are two terms to be filled with the six-year terms of Dalrymple and Dr. Albert Cross expiring.
The deadline to file for the April 3 election is Jan. 17.
