Markus Allen Harrison, a 20-year-old resident of Independence, died of natural causes on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

A visitation is scheduled from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 at the Newcomers and Sons Funeral Home in Independence with services to follow at 2:30.
Mr. Harrison is survived by his father and step-mother, Brad and Karen Harrison of Trenton; his mother, Donna Harrison of Independence; a brother, Michael Harrison of Independence; his grandparents Roy and Beverly Harrison of Trenton and Louetta Parr of Independence; a step-brother, Scotty Shull; and a step-sister, Heather Epperson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bud Parr.
The family suggests memorials to Children’s Mercy Hospital or to the family to help with funeral expenses.
