TMS Teams Roll Over Princeton

It was a good night for the Trenton Black middle school basketball teams Tuesday at the Princeton Tournament as they defeated the host school Princeton in the semifinals of the four-school event. They did so in dominating fashion as the Lady Bulldogs won 33-4 and the Bulldogs won 41-11.

Lady Bulldogs
The Trenton Black girls were able to pick up a big win over Princeton in the first round, 33-4. Trenton never trailed and led the game at halftime, 17-2.
Ally Ockenfels led Trenton with 10 points and five rebounds. Lexie Tolson had eight points and five rebounds and Daryian Otto added five points and five rebounds. Karley McCollum and Sadie Roy each had four points and two rebounds. Whitley Richman had two points and five rebounds and Mason Hooyman added five rebounds and two assists.
The Trenton Black girls will face South Harrison on Thursday in the championship game. Tip-off for the girls title game is set for 7:30 p.m.
Bulldogs
The Trenton boys wasted little time running out to a lead on the Tigers in the boys game, taking a 8-2 lead after the first quarter and a 21-6 lead at halftime. Trenton continued to dominate both ends of the floor in the second half, pulling away for the 30-point win.
Cree Mullenix led the Bulldogs with 12 points, eight rebounds, four assists and six steals. Colton Neff had 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and five steals. Connor Cotton finished with six points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal and Brice Dillon added four points, an assist and a steal. Eli Leininger had four points and five rebounds and Kail McCarter gave Trenton two points, four rebounds, four steals and one assist. Gavin Albrecht rounded out the Trenton total with two points, three steals and a rebound.
The Trenton Black boys will also play South Harrison for the championship on Thursday. That game begins at 8:45 p.m.
