Justin Knapp of Trenton recently received a $1,000 3M Columbia Plant Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year at Linn State Technical College.

Knapp is enrolled in the Machine Tool Technology program. The 3M Columbia Plant Scholarship is awarded through the Foundation for Linn State Technical College to incoming freshmen. Students must be enrolled full-time starting the fall semester of the year in which the scholarship is awarded. Selection is based upon demonstrated academic achievement, civic involvement, leadership, technical aptitude, career focus and financial need. Priority is given to first time applicants currently enrolled in related college programs at Linn State Technical College or who have taken related courses while in high school.
