Delbert L. Romesburg, an 80-year-old resident of Topeka, KS, died on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 in Topeka.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2010 at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home in Topeka. Cremation will follow, with burial at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011 at the St. Michael Cemetery in Axtell, KS.
General visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011 at the funeral home, where a family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Romesburg was born on Aug 25, 1931, in Chillicothe, the son of Fred and Inez Viola Raymo Romesburg. He served in the U.S. Air Force from Jan. 9, 1951, to Jan. 8, 1955. He was an insurance agent and car salesman for various car dealers prior to his retirement. While in Branson he was a tour guide for the Shepherd of the Hills and worked for Surrey Vacation Resorts. He was also the owner of Del’s Beef Jerky.
He was a member of the First Christian Church in Kimberling City and the Topeka Bible Church.
Mr. Romesburg married Jessie Hughes Beckwith in 1951. They later divorced. He married Ernestine “Tina” Hasenkamp in Miami, OK, on Jan. 19, 1973. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2003.
Mr. Romesburg is survived by six sons, Ronnie (Anna) Romesburg, Delbert Dean (Robin) Romesburg, Donnie Romesburg, Daniel (Jancy) Romesburg, Aaron (Amy) Romesburg, Tim Weddle; six daughters, Peggy (Bruce) Forbes, Linda (Rick) Munoz, Becky Adams, Glenda (Rob) McCanliss, Theresa (Chris) Gartner and Twila Caballero; two brothers, Jim (Lydia) Romesburg and Freddie (Charlene) Romesburg; one sister, Mary Alice Utterback; 33 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Chris and Bob; two granddaughters, Danielle and Stephanie; and a great-grandson, Zane.
