Elizabeth Lynn Goerne, a 52-year-old resident of Chillicothe, died on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011 at the Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Burial will be in the Stucker Cemetery at Laredo.
Family visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 at the funeral home. General visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and from 8 a.m. until service time on Monday.
Mrs. Goerne was born on July 3, 1959 in Trenton, the daughter of Donald N. and Wanda Reeter Hesler. She graduated in 1977 from Tri-County High School in Jamesport. She was married at Jamesport on Sept. 15, 1979 to Kevin Goerne, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Goerne was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church and was a life-long resident of Daviess County.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Wanda Hesler of Jamesport; three sons, Matthew S., Marty L. and Michael D. Goerne, all of Coffey; four sisters Debbie Skipper and her husband, Gary of Chillicothe, Lorie Souders and her husband, Troy of Jamesport, Brenda Wahlers and her husband, Tim of Jamesport and Judy Newton and her husband, Wayne of Tehachapi, CA; several nieces and nephews; her mother-in-law, Margaret Love and her husband, Donald of Belton; and a sister-in-law, Mary Everitt and her husband, Bob of Grandview.
She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Ronnie and Stephen Hesler; her father-in-law, Karl Goerne; and a niece, Jackie Skipper.
