The Princeton City Council approved construction of a concession stand and gave permission for use of the old airport area during a meeting on Wednesday night.

City Clerk Kari Stamper said the Mercer County Fair Board was given permission to construct a 16-foot by 16-foot block building at the lower field of the fairground. The building will be located between the mud pit and tractor pull area.
Also approved was a request by Dirk Schwarzkopf to use the old airport area for elementary school football practice for grades two through four. A service contract in the amount of $50 was approved to pay for Calamity Jane Day activity provided by Shotgun Sparks.
The Mercer County Health Department was given permission to use the city streets on Saturday, Oct. 8 for a 5K cancer walk. A building permit was issued to John Rouse to allow him to build a storage shed at 707 Brown St.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, Nov. 8
