The Grundy County Nursing Home District is looking into the possibility of adding to its Residential Care Facility with new construction to accommodate those needs.

During a meeting of the Board of Directors on Monday night, Sunnyview Nursing Home and Apartments Administrator Terri Cordray reported on the recently approved Certificate of Need for 16 additional RCF beds. The board agreed to seek bids regarding construction.
The board discussed and approved obtaining a five-year plan for capital improvements for the nursing home building main facility. Approval was also given to the state auditor’s amended proposed tax rate for the nursing home district of $.1498 per $100 assessed valuation.
Ms. Cordray also presented administrator and RCF reports to the board. The next board meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17 in the administrator’s office nursing home and apartments.
