Trenton Downtown Improvement Association Director Richard Jacobsen said judges heard five community and two youth project presentations given at Trenton City Hall. In addition, the judges toured the Grundy County Museum, which housed the Smithsonian Exhibit and was one of the projects on which the MCB will base its final judging. Other projects and presenters included the Thompson House, Tad Trombley; the Grand River Valley Choir and Orchestra, Christianne Jacobson; the Five Points Chili Cookoff, Richard Jacobson; and the Leadership Trenton Youth program, Drive One 4 Ur School and Relay for Live, Alex Anderson and Shelby Chaney.
Winners will be announced at the annual MCB Conference in Jefferson City on Oct. 16-17. Awards are presented in the categories of adult leadership, youth leadership, community and community youth group.
