The program, which began on June 1, has supplied electric payments for low income individuals who are shut off or in threat of disconnect. The winter Energy Assistance season will begin for elderly and disabled persons on Oct. 1. All other low income persons will be able to submit applications beginning Nov. 1. Anyone with a current shut off notice is encouraged to seek assistance from other agencies.
