Paul Gannon, an 84-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Sunday evening, Aug.14, 2011 at his residence in Trenton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011 at the First Assembly Of God in Trenton. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton.
A scheduled visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Open visitation is under way at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.
Mr. Gannon was born on March 7, 1927 in Trenton, the son of Francis and Enna Cooksey Gannon. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was married to Mildred Ruth Kincaid on Jan. 8, 1951 and she preceded him in death in July of 1988. He married Kay Carter Babb on May, 23, 1998.
He was a self-employed locksmith in Trenton for many years. He was a member of the Assembly Of God Church and the Major Dale Stepp American Legion Post 31.
Mr. Gannon is survived by his wife, Kay Gannon of the home; sons, James Paul Gannon Jr. of Oak Grove, Mark Gannon of Plattsburg and Gary Gannon of Lathrop; daughters, Roberta Harkins and her husband, David of Coffeyville, KS, Sharon Gannon of Trenton and Kay Howell of Westby, WI; a step-son, Phillip Richard Babb and his wife, Dawn of Homewood, IL; step daughters, Cynthia Caldwell and her husband, Steve of Trenton and Jo Ellen Maxey and her husband, Richard of Manassas, VA; a brother, Glenn David Gannon of San Diego, CA; sisters, Deloris Rosenboom of Gresham, OR and Clara Stalcup of Wichita, KS; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
