The Missouri Department of Conservation will be hosting a youth dove hunt at the Poosey Conservation Area on Friday, Sept. 3 from 6 to 9 a.m. The hunt is for youth ages 10 to 15 and will be held on a special youth field at the Poosey Conservation Area.

Being hunter education certified is not a requirement and parents and experienced hunters are welcome to help their kids. There will be a mandatory safety training the night of Sept. 2 at the Pike’s Lake Shooting Area. Guns and ammo will be provided, but participants may bring their own. Drinks will also be provided.
