The North Central Missouri Fair continues in Trenton, with a sheep show held today and the dairy show and flower show results being announced as well.

Sheep Show
Today’s sheep show featured 78 head of livestock, including 18 market lambs.
Thirteen future exhibitors participated in the pee wee show, with one entry in the Ladies Lead. Nine-year-old Sara Bartholomew of Callao participated in the event. Show champions were to be named this afternoon.
Dairy Show
Twenty-four head of dairy cattle were entered in Thursday’s show, with seven youngsters showing bucket calves.
Derrek Hardy of Browning exhibited the supreme champion dairy female, a Holstein cow, while Amy Laughlin of Unionville exhibited the reserve champion dairy female, a Jersey heifer. Showmanship awards went to Derrek Hardy in the junior division and to John Anderson of Ludlow in the senior division.
Breed champions included:
Jersey – Amy Laughlin, champion; Mackenzie Anderson, Ludlow, reserve; Brown Swiss – Travis Anderson, Ludlow, champion; Holstein – Derrek Hardy, champion; Tawnya Hardy of Browning, reserve.
Lauren Jones of Chillicothe exhibited the grand champion dairy bull, with Tawnya Hardy exhibiting the overall champion heifer and Derrek Hardy exhibiting the overall junior reserve champion heifer.
Those showing bucket calves and earning a blue ribbon were Lainie Lewis, Cooper Lewis, Mady Williams, Tanner Williams, Rylee Johnson and Emma Thompson, all of Laredo; and Riley Raymo of Spickard.
Other blue ribbon winners included Tawnya Hardy, 3; McKenzie Anderson of Ludlow, 2; Amy McLaughlin, 3; Derrek Hardy, 3; Carlee Johnson, 2; John Anderson, 2; Travis Anderson, 1; and Lauren Jones, 1.
Flower Show
There were 30 participants in the NCM Flower Show on Thursday with 83 entries judged.
Rhonda Johnson received the Best of Show Award. The most unusual entry was entered by Betty Taul and created by Bill Woody. There was a tie between Trinity and Ellianna Gaunt for the best junior entry. Barb Peterson had the most blue ribbons with nine.
Tonight’s entertainment at the grandstand is the ATV/Dirt bike races at 7 o’clock. The bluegrass band, I-35 Express, plays in the courtyard area of the Rock Barn at 7:30.
Saturday’s schedule kicks off with the bucket calf show at 8:30 a.m., followed by the beef breeding and steer show in the pavillion. The horse show gets under way at 9 a.m. at the North Missouri Saddle Club Grounds. Saturday’s grandstand attraction is the demolition derby at 7 p.m.
