Green Hills Community Action Agency will host several educational presentations geared toward helping youth between the ages of 4 and 12 learn how to be kinder to the environment around them.

The “Put a Little Green in Your Life” program will teach children how to conserve energy, eat healthy, and recycle in a fun and safe atmosphere. Children ages 6 to 8 are invited to a workshop on Friday, Aug. 5 while children ages 9 through 12 can attend a workshop on Aug 12. A workshop for children ages 4 to 5 is planned on Wednesday, Aug. 17. All workshops are at 2 p.m. and are being held in the CAA central office conference room at Trenton.
Each presentation will last about 30 to 45 minutes and children will be served a light, healthy snack and receive a coloring book and a package of vegetable seeds that they can plant and grow themselves. Children from the nine-county area served by the CAA are welcome to attend. Spaces are limited, so persons should call Kim Brashear at 359-3907, ext 1020 to sign their child up for the workshop.
