Edna Mae Clark, an 88-year-old resident of Princeton, died on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Pearl’s II Eden for Elder at Princeton.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton with Pastor Jack Stark officiating. Burial will be in the Girdner Cemetery, north of Mercer.
A family visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Open visitation and viewing is under way at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clark was born near Ravanna in Mercer County on Feb. 26, 1923, the daughter of daughter of Clyde and Elma Edna Davis McElfish. She was raised in the Ravanna area and graduated from Mercer High School in 1941.
Mrs. Clark was married on March 1, 1941 to William Barton Clark, who preceded her in death on April 9, 1986. After she and her husband were married, they lived in Davenport, IA for a short time before returning to Mercer County, where she worked as a postal clerk for several years. She enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, craftwork and sewing.
She was first a member of the Ravanna Methodist Church and later attended the Mercer United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her two sons, Dale Clark and his wife, Jeanette of Mercer and Bob Clark and his companion, Jane Adams of Atalissa, IA; four grandchildren, Lesley Sue Clark and William Dale Clark Jr., both of Columbia, Michael Clark of Cedar Rapids, IA and Rob Clark of Iowa City, IA; four great-grandchildren, Jesse Nilges and Jacey, Riley, and John Clark; a former son-in-law, Jeff Nilges and his daughter, Lacey; and by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, he was also preceded in death by her parents.
