Glen D. Husted, an 83-year-old resident of Redding, CA died at 1:30 a.m. today (Thursday, July 21, 2011) at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Mr. Husted was born in Trenton on Nov. 15, 1927, the son of Edith Welch and Earl H. Husted. He graduated from Trenton High School and Trenton Junior College and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and spent 18 months in Berlin.
He was an electrician in Los Angeles and was a member of the IBEW.
He is survived by one brother, Nevin W. Husted of Hale; two sisters, Frances Schuldt of Hale and Marie Kamphefner of Trenton; cousins, Mary Batson of Galt, Phyllis Kemp and Jack Nichols and Patty Sims of Trenton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins out of the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-niece.
