The Mercer County Fair concluded over the weekend, with a variety of activities held, including livestock shows, a talent show and a baby show.

Beef Show
The Grand Champion Bull was exhibited by Briana Hixson of Jamesport and Trenton Ishmael of Gallatin exhibited the reserve champion. Mattison Ishmael of Gallatin exhibited the Grand Champion Female, while the reserve was shown by Briana Hixson. Bill Jennings of Bethany showed the grand champion market beef animal and Remington Byers of Princeton exhibited the reserve. Showmanship honors went to Remington Byers, 14 and over, and Tyler Daughtery of Bethany, 13 and under.
Remington Byers was also presented the Raymond and Wyona Easter Memorial Award and Mercer County performance awards were presented to Rachelle Parks of Princeton, first; Remington Byers, second; and Jessica Phelps of Princeton, third.
Sheep Show
Huston Sprinkle of Trenton took home the award for grand champion ram, with Jacey Cook of Hamilton exhibiting the reserve champion. Cody Long of Creston, IA exhibited the grand champion ewe and Brycen Stark of Princeton exhibited the reserve champion. Cody Long also had the grand champion market lamb and again, Brycen Stark had the reserve. Stark took first place in showmanship, 14 and over, while Danielle Funk of Grant City took top honors in showmanship 13 and under. Stark also was the recipient of the Raymond and Wyona Easter Memorial Award.
County performance awards were presented to Rachelle Parks, first and second, and Stark, third.
Goat Show
Bryce Shipley of Princeton exhibited the grand champion buck, with Kaycee Vandiver of McFall exhibiting the reserve. Cauy Taff of Princeton exhibited the grand champion percentage doe, with Brea Shipley of Mercer exhibiting the reserve. The grand champion full blood doe was shown by Bryce Shipley of Princeton, while Cauy Taff showed the reserve. Brea Shipley exhibited the grand champion dairy goat and Abby McLain had the reserve. Haley Alden of Hamilton exhibited the grand champion wether, with Bryce Shipley exhibiting the reserve.
In showmanship, Haley Alden took first in the 14 and over category, while Bryce Shipley was the winner in the 13 and under division. Shipley also won the Raymond and Wyona Easter Memorial Award, as well as first place in county performance.
Horse Show
Winners in the horse show, held Sunday, July 10, were Lexie Bowyer, high point, eight years and under; Cheyenne Blanchard, high point, 12 years and over and high point overall, saddle winner; and Mariah Hart, high point, 13 to 17 years and the Raymond and Wyona Easter Memorial Award.
