The children of Doris and Jarvis Ferguson will host a cake and punch reception in honor of their parents, who will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the First Baptist Church. All friends and families are invited to attend. The couple request no gifts. The couple were married on July 17, 1951 at the Hatton Chapel Church by Rev. Millard Bales, pastor of the Salem Baptist Church.
