The Busy Bees 4-H Club met on June 17 at the Laredo Community Center.
Busy Bee 4-H Club Holds Meeting
There were 10 members and three leaders present. President Tyler Kidd presided over the meeting. Logan Stanton led the pledge to the American flag and Cooper Lewis led the 4-H pledge. Roll call was answered with each member telling what they did on the last day of school.
Logan Stanton and Tyler and Haley Kidd gave project meeting reports. Members who attended 4-H camp gave a report on what they did and liked best. Those on track for 100 percent meeting attendance, with only two meetings to go, are Logan Foster, Cooper and Lainie Lewis and Tyler and Haley Kidd. Leader reports included a reminder of completing their volunteer online training and orders for new club t-shirts.
Robert Urich gave a demonstration on how roads are built. Logan Foster gave a demonstration on how to keep fireflies from disappearing.
Refreshments were brought by Morgan Foster. The club competed in a nature scavenger hunt for recreation.
The next meeting is scheduled for July 15.
