The Laredo R-7 Board of Education approved the 2011-2012 budget during a special meeting on Wednesday night.

Laredo Board OKs Budget
According to information provided by Superintendent Kirk Mallette, the board approved a budget that showed expenses exceeding revenues by just over $83,000. The district anticipates revenues of $836,697 for the next school year while expenses have been projected at $920,289.
The board also approved amendments to the 2010-2011 budget to show actual revenues and expenditures for the year. The fund balance as of June 30 is approximately $612,000.
Prairie Farms was awarded the bid for milk prices. It was the only bid received.
The next regular board meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 11.
