Dr. Blake William Barnes received a doctorate of medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine during ceremonies on Saturday, May 14.

Dr. Barnes is a 2001 graduate of Trenton High School and received an associate of arts degree from North Central Missouri College in 2004 and a bachelor of science degree in 2007 from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.
He, his wife, Megan, and son, Robbie, reside in Columbia, where he is now working for the University of Missouri as a family medicine resident. He is the son of Bob and Susie Barnes and the grandson of Bill Barnes and Rosalea Wright, all of Trenton.
