Barbara Jo Sayer, a 51-year-old resident of Elkland and former Spickard resident died on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the Spickard Christian Church with Bro. Duane Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
A family visitation will be held at Slater Funeral Home in Trenton from 7 to 8 p.m. on Saturday June 11, 2011.
Mrs. Sayer was born on Dec. 1, 1959 in Trenton, the daughter of Tom Junior and Peggy L. Moss Stamper. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1978. She worked for Honey Dew Kennel of Elkland as sales manager.
Barbara enjoyed taking her children to their ballgames, going hunting and fishing, working with her plants, cooking, gardening, feeding the birds,and just being outside. Her dog, Digit ,was a special part of her life.
She was a member of Spickard Christian Church in Spickard.
She was married on Sept. 9, 1988 in Meeker, CO to Charles D. (Chuck) Sayer, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include one daughter, Kara Jo Sayer and one son, Kail Axton Sayer, both of the home in Elkland; one step-son, Kyle Sayer and his wife, Sarah of Sparta; her father, Junior Stamper of Spickard; one step-granddaughter, Brooke Sayer of Sparta; and one brother, Rusty Stamper and his wife, Claudia of Spickard.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Stamper; and her grandparents, Okie and Hazel Moss and Everett and Mary Stamper.
Memorials are suggested to the children’s education fund and they may be left at funeral home.
