Run Raises $4,774

A total of $4,774 was raised for Free International during the Run4FREE event held Saturday in Trenton.

The organization is dedicated to finding, rescuing and empowering victims of commercial sexual exploitation in the U.S. Fifty-seven runners from Missouri, Illinois and Minnesota took part in the event. Race Day winners included Men’s Half Marathon – 1. Roberta Garcia, 2. Cale Gondringer, 3. Ryan Leafgreen; Women’s Half Marathon – 1. Jessica McMillian, 2. April Mohn; Men’s 10K – 1. Isaac Harris, 2. Cliff Harris; Women’s 10K – 1. Rachel Brown, 2. Kaelee Kendrick; Men’s 5K – 1. Shawn Etzenhouser, 2. Nathan Kottwitz, 3. Chad Boyd; Women’s 5K – 1. Emily Barrick, 2. Pam Bowden, 3. (tie) Rachel Perry and Charity Cole.
There were 17 runners in the No Mo Stiletto Run, with Kasey Bailey finishing first. A town meeting was held in the afternoon, during which time the Tenth Street Baptist Church was recognized as the top fundraiser with $861. Kristy Childs, a trafficking survivor, also spoke as well as Phil Cosby of the American Family Association and Mike Bartell of FREE International.
