Utley Named All-American

Former Trenton Lady Bulldog Aubrey Utley became just the second player in the history of the Central Methodist University softball program to earn All-American honors. Utley was named to the NAIA Softball All-American Second Team Thursday after a banner freshman season.

Utley went 24-4 on the season with a 1.25 ERA and 138 strikeouts. Utley’s 24 wins set a school record and her 138 strikeouts were the fifth most in a single season in CMU history. Utley was ranked in the top 15 nationally in the NAIA in ERA and wins. Utley threw 10 shutouts on the season and was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference’s Pitcher of the Year. She was a first team all-conference selection and won HAAC Pitcher of the Week honors twice during the season.
