On May 18, affidavits were filed with the Putnam County Circuit Clerk, alleging that the hospital trustees have neglected their official duties and violated certain Missouri laws.
According to Keedy, Missouri law authorizes the governor to direct that the attorney general assist or handle such complaints.
“Because I have social and community relationships with virtually all of the people on both sides of the issue involving the administration of the Putnam County Hospital, I feel it would be in the best interest of the County, the hospital and all individuals concerned to have the matter reviewed by the attorney General, who will then make a decision as to whether to proceed with efforts to remove the trustees from office,” Keedy said.
