Aquatic Center Set To Open May 28

The Trenton Family Aquatic Center is scheduled to open for the 2011 season on Saturday, May 28.

Hours will be from 1 to 6 p.m. each day, weather permitting. And beginning on July 1, there will be a Friday night session from 6:30 to 9:30.
Daily admission will be $1 for children ages 0 to 5, $4 for children ages 6 to 17, $5 for persons 18 and over and $2 for senior citizens (55 and over). Season passes, which can be purchased at the aquatic center, are $60 for a single pass, $150 for families (up to four household members/baby sitters (each additional household member is $20); $20 for a senior single, $30 for a senior couple and $20 for the lap swim, noon to 1 p.m. (must be 17-or-over or accompanied by an adult).
Pool parties will be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday through June then Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday after July 1. Two sessions will be available, 6:30 to 8 p.m. and 8:30 to 10 p.m. The cost is $175, which includes a $50 deposit.
Red Cross swimming lessons will also be offered this summer. The first session is from June 20 to July 1 and the second session is July 18 to 29, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays being used as a make-up weather day, if needed. The first week of the July session will be from Tuesday to Friday, while the second week will be Monday through Wednesday.
There will be six levels of lessons offered. Level 1, which costs $15, is for one week only (June 6-9, June 13-16, July 5-8 or July 11-14). They will meet from 11 to 11:30 a.m. each day. Level 2, which meets for two weeks, has a $30 cost and will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. while Levels 3 and 5, which also cost $30, will meet from 9 to 9:45 a.m. each day. Levels 5 and 6 will be from 8 to 8:45 a.m. each day and will also cost $30.
