Mr. Barrett was born in Newton on July 8, 1970.
He is survived by his wife, Karla Kay Barrett, a son, Jacob Ryan Barrett and four step-daughters, Kari Smith, Laci Smith, Ashli Smith and Kelsi McDaniels, all of Newton; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kevin and Lela McClaflin and a sister-in-law, Kim Hughs, all of Trenton; and a father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Mary Craig of Bethany.
