The collection event held on April 30 at New Hope in Trenton has been deemed a success by those involved with the activity.

The collection was sponsored by the North Missouri Solid Waste District Region B, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the City of Trenton, and Trenton Chamber.
Tire collection totals were 356 passenger tires, four tractor tires, and some miscellaneous tubes. There were 19 TVs collected and most were the big console type.
The collection event also collected appliances and scrap metal. There were seven Microwaves, two dishwashers, six refrigerators, two freezers, one range, one washer, two hot water heaters, eight air conditioning units, two dehumidifiers, two miscellaneous items and scrap metal.
