Russell Wayne McCloud, an 84-year-old resident of Hermitage, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at his daughter’s home in Hermitage.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Hermitage. Rev. Allen Perkins officiated.
Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. today (Tuesday, May 3, 2011) at Glenridge Cemetery in Liberty. Hathaway-Peterman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.
Mr. McCloud was born on July 16, 1926 in Spickard, the son of Harry Loren and Zelma Arney McCloud. He had worked for General Motors and International Harvester and retired from the United States Postal Service as a transportation driver. He was a deacon of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Hermitage and spent his life ministering to others.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; a daughter, Joan Olinger and her husband, Warren of Hermitage; a son, Robert McCloud and his wife, Marilyn of Excelsior Springs; two brothers, Lawrence McCloud and his wife, Marjorie of Lincoln and Donal McCloud and his wife, Joann of Gower; two sisters, Charlene Johnson and her husband Norman of Kansas City, and Zelda Hopkins of Webb City; seven step-children; two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
