Judge Jack Peace
A wrongful death suit was filed by Taylor Scott Groves, through her next of kin, Rhonda Hughes, and Randy Groves and Rhonda Hughes against the Union Pacific Railroad, Gerald Shrum and Ed Taft. The suit involves a Dec. 9, 2009 accident in which Nancy Nicole Groves, mother of Taylor Groves and daughter of Ms. Hughes and Randy Groves, was killed.
Ameristream Cleaning and Restorations filed a three count lawsuit, two counts against Teresa Thane Tracy of 2306 Park Lane, claiming failure to pay on account and fraud, and a third count of wrongful payment against Barton Mutual. The suit asks for payment of $58,837.80, fees and court costs on each of the three counts.

Judge Steven D. Hudson
Scott Moore, 35, Marshall, pleaded guilty to having no proof of insurance and was fined $27.50 and $58.50 costs.
Jamie Eckert, 30, Galt, pleaded guilty to failure to wear a seat belt and was fined $10.
Municipal Division
Judge Steven D. Hudson
Ryan Duncan, 22, of 1524 E. 18th St., pleaded guilty to failure to wear a seat belt and was fined $7.
Donald Brittain, 56, of 89 NW 10th Ave., pleaded guilty to speeding and was fined $16.50 and $34.50 costs.
Beverly Hines, 60, of 905 Main St., pleaded guilty to failure to display a valid license plate and was fined $50.50 and $34.50 costs.
