The Trenton track and field teams continued to run well on Thursday as they traveled to the South Harrison Relays in Bethany. The Lady Bulldogs topped the field for the seventh meet in a row, winning their eighth meet of the season with 169 points. The Trenton boys had a solid meet as well, scoring 152.5 points to place second in a 13-team field.

Lady Bulldogs
The Trenton girls out-ran 14 other schools at the South Harrison Relays, winning the meet by 7.5 points over Lawson, who was second with 161.5 points.
The Lady Bulldogs took gold in seven events with Mackenzie Mack capturing gold in every event she ran. Mack was first in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 13.36, and first in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 27.79. Mack also captured gold with both the 4×100- and 4×200-meter relay teams, combining with Chandler Wilson, Scotlin Hurley and Maddie Hooyman in both events. The fearsome foursome won the 4×100 with a time of 52.29 and the 4×200 with a time of 1:51.
Wilson also won a third gold medal, taking first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.84, and was second in the triple jump with a leap of 32-9. Trenton’s other two gold medals came from Rebekah Capeder, who won the high jump with a mark of 5-0, and Amber Fischbach, who took first in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:01. Fischbach also picked up a silver medal, placing second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:38.
Other runner-up finishes for the Lady Bulldogs went to Hurley, second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.4; Kaylee Lickteig, second in the pole vault with a mark of 7-6; Hooyman, second in the high jump with a mark of 4-8; and the 4×800-meter relay team of Fischbach, Molly Boyle, Katey Norris and Megan Sole, which was second with a time of 10:54.
Other placewinners in Bethany for the Lady Bulldogs were Kendra Lickteig, third in the 3200-meter run; Kandis Taylor, third in the long jump; Sole, fourth in the triple jump and seventh in the 800-meter run; Ashley Osborn, fourth in the 300-meter hurdles; Alexis Fender, fourth in the 100-meter hurdles; Boyle, fourth in the 1600-meter run; Magie Steinhoff, fifth in the 100-meter dash; Lindsey Derry, fifth in the discus; Shania Anderson, sixth in the pole vault; and the 4×400-meter relay team of Norris, Hooyman, Katie Lenhart and Hurley, which finished third.
Bulldogs
The Trenton boys hauled in six gold medals with Dalton Preston leading the way. Preston scored gold in the 100-meter dash, with a time of 11.28, and in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 23.03. Preston also teamed with Seth Acton, James Fairchild and Sam Cool to take gold in the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 3:33.65.
Acton, Cool and Fairchild also teamed with Addison Fuller to win the 4×800-meter relay with a time of 8:43.2. Cool also won gold in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.7 and the Bulldogs’ other gold medal came from Freddie Pannell, who won the triple jump with a leap of 42-3.
Trenton backed up its six first-place finishes with five runner-up finishes. The 4×100 team of Preston, Acton, Keegan McGinness and Colby Larson placed second with a time of 45.63 and the 4×200-meter relay team of Trevor Whitley, Cool, McGinness and Larson placed second with a time of 1:36.65.
Larson was also second in both the 300-meter hurdles, with a time of 43.76, and long jump, with a mark of 19-2. Acton was second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.8.
Other placewinners for the Bulldogs were Fuller, third in the 1600-meter run and fifth in the 3200-meter run; James Deaver, third in the discus; Aric Helmandollar, fourth in the 110-meter hurdles; Fairchild, fourth in the 1600-meter run; Whitley, fourth in the 200-meter dash and eighth in the high jump; Dillon Triplet, fifth in the pole vault; Jacob Spillman, seventh in the 300-meter hurdles; Hunter Treadwell, seventh in the high jump; Josh Jarrett, eighth in the 3200-meter run; Gannon Albrecht, eighth in the 400-meter dash; Wyatt Coffman, eighth in the shot put; and McGinness, eighth in the long jump.
Trenton will return to the track on Tuesday as they travel to the Maryville Relays, their final meet before districts in St. Joseph.
