The Trenton High School track teams traveled to Brookfield Tuesday afternoon for the Brookfield Quad. Both teams were able to find a lot of success as the Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs each finished first in the team standings.

Lady Bulldogs
The Trenton girls scored 125 points to claim the top spot in the girls quad. Trenton scored 11 first-place finishes at a meet with 18 events and had nine runner-up finishes, running away with the title.
“Overall, I was really pleased with the girls’ performances in a lot of different areas,” Lady Bulldogs’ Coach Chris Parks said. “The competition was not as tough as it has been the last two meets, but the girls showed that they are working hard and are continueing to improve.”
Chandler Wilson took three gold medals, winning the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.57, the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:01 and the triple jump with a mark of 33-5.
Amber Fischbach took three gold medals home as well, winning the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:48 and the 800-meter run with a time of 2:36. Fischbach was also part of the 4×800-meter relay team with Molly Boyle, Katey Norris and Megan Sole, which took gold with a time of 10:53.5.
“Amber had a personal best in the 1600-meter run,” Parks said. “She has really shown good senior leadership for this team this year on and off the track.”
Mackenzie Mack and Maddie Hooyman were multiple gold medalists as well, winning two events each. Both were on the 4×200-meter relay team with Scotlin Hurley and Magie Steinhoff, winning with a time of 1:55.57. Mack won the open 200-meter dash as well with a time of 28.03 and Hooyman took first in the high jump with a mark of 5-5.
Other gold medalists for the Lady Bulldogs were Rebekah Capeder, who won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.6, and Lindsey Derry, who won the discus with a throw of 96-1.
Runner-up finishes for the Lady Bulldogs went to Steinhoff, second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.81; Hurley, second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.13; Norris, second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:08; Ashley Osborn, second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 55.04 and second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.84; Kaylee Lickteig, second in the pole vault, clearing 8-0; Capeder, second in the high jump, clearing 4-10; Sole, second in the triple jump with a mark of 30-4; and Kristen Barron, second in the shot put with a throw of 32-0.
“Ashley Osborn has really improved from last year,” Parks said. “She has really improved on her technique and it’s showing. She had a personal best in both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles.”
Other placewinners for the Lady Bulldogs included Alexis Fender, third in the 100-meter hurdles; Kendra Lickteig, third in the 3200-meter run; Katie Lenhart, third in the 400-meter dash; Nicole Fairchild, fourth in the 3200-meter run; Kandis Taylor, fifth in the 300-meter hurdles; Boyle, fifth in the 1600-meter run; Sole, fifth in the 800-meter run; Haley Puentes, sixth in the 200-meter dash; Ashley May, seventh in the 400-meter dash; and Melanie Rodriguez, seventh in the 1600-meter run.
Bulldogs
The Trenton boys were able to get the win in the boys quad, scoring 141 points and winning 12 of the 18 events.
“We have seen some pretty good competition in a lot of the meets we have been at this year and we were able to go to Brookfield and see some teams we haven’t seen in the past,” Bulldogs’ Coach Wes Croy said. “We performed really well. We had great conditions and I was really pleased with how we ran in those conditions. I am really pleased with where we are at right now.”
Dalton Preston, Seth Acton and Addison Fuller each picked up three gold medals to lead the Bulldogs.
Fuller won the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:58.8, the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:27.81 and was on the 4×800-meter relay team with Acton, James Fairchild and Jacob Spillman, winning with a time of 8:58. Preston won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11:31 and combined with Acton, Keegan McGinness and Clay Oneal to win the 4×100-meter relay and 4×200-meter relay. The team won the 4×100 with a time of 46.0 and the 4×200 with a time of 1:36.9.
Colby Larson won two gold medals, taking first in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.88 and first in the long jump with a mark of 18-9.
Other gold medalists for the Bulldogs were Aric Helmandollar, first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.13; James Fairchild, first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:07; Hunter Treadwell, first in the high jump with a mark of 5-10; and Dakota Herring, first in the pole vault with a mark of 10-3.
Trenton had runners-up in Preston, second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.27; Acton, second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:14; McGinness, second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.39; James Deaver, second in the discus with a throw of 119-9 and second in the shot put with a throw of 42-0; Trevor Whitley, second in the high jump with a mark of 5-8; Dillon Triplet, second in the pole vault with a mark of 9-6; and the 4×400-meter relay team of Sam Cool, Freddie Pannell, Whitley and Fairchild, second with a time of 3:44.12.
Other placewinners for the Bulldogs included Larson, third in the triple jump and fourth in the high jump; McGinness, third in the long jump; Josh Jarrett, third in the 1600-meter run and fifth in the 3200-meter run; Cool, third in the 800-meter run and third in the 110-meter hurdles; Dakota Schultz, third in the pole vault; Whitley, third in the 200-meter dash and fourth in the 100-meter dash; Wyatt Coffman, fourth in the shot put and fifth in the discus; Riley Maberry, fourth in the discus; Pannell, fourth in the triple jump, fifth in the 200-meter dash and fifth in the 400-meter dash; Andrew Pauley, fifth in the 800-meter run; Jacob Hamilton, fifth in the 110-meter hurdles; and the JV 4×100- and 200-meter relay teams of Triplet, Novie Rorebeck, Malachi Sethman and Gannon Albrecht, which finished third in the 4×200 and fourth in the 4×100.
Trenton’s track teams will be back in action on Thursday as they host the Trenton Relays at C.F. Russell Stadium in Trenton at 4 p.m.
