Kenneth W. Hughs, 47, had a mistrial declared in his trial on 10 counts of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance after two jurors were excused and not enough jurors were available. The case was re-set for a two-day jury trial on June 8. The case is being heard in Grundy County on a change of venue from Mercer County.

The following defendants pleaded guilty to their charges and paid their fines through the Fine Collection Center, with their names provided to the Republican-Times:
Bobby Anderson, Trenton, pleaded guilty to not wearing a seat belt and was fined $10.
Matthew Houser, Jamesport, pleaded guilty to failing to yield to a vehicle that entered an intersection so as to cause a hazard and was fined $30.50.
Chase Lebsack, Trenton, pleaded guilty to failing to register a motor vehicle and was fined $30.50.
Janelle Raymo, Spickard, pleaded guilty to failing to secure a child in a seat belt and was fined $10.
Lois Weaver, Trenton, pleaded guilty to failing to secure a child in a booster seat and was fined $20.50.
Municipal Division
Judge Steven D. Hudson
Mamie L. Hayes, 33, 1423 Mable St., and Natasha L. Ingersoll, 31, 302 S. Main St., pleaded guilty to permitting a dog to run at large and were fined $25.50 and $34.50 costs.
David D. Sparks, 22, 124 E. Sixth St., pleaded guilty to an amended charge of having no state driver’s license and was fined $250 and $34.50 costs.
Lucas A. Griffin, 31, 300 W. 12th St., pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and had imposition of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for two years and is to make a $300 donation to the city of Trenton, $180 recoupment of funds and $35.50 costs.
Shanna L. Trantham, 28, Spickard, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was fined $300 and $34.50 costs.
Kyler B. Nappier, 28, St. James, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and had imposition of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for two years and was ordered to pay $300 to the city, $150 recoupment of funds and $34.50 costs. He also pleaded guilty to being a minor in possession of intoxicating liquor and was fined $300 and $34.50 costs.
Joseph A. Taylor, 24, Pattonsburg, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and was fined $300, $140 recoupment of funds and $34.50 costs.
Michael S. Holtman, 69, Coralville, FL, pleaded guilty to failing to maintain or provide proof of financial responsibility for a vehicle and was fined $25.50 and $34.50 costs.
