Edna Mae Duffield, an 81-year-old resident of Lineville, IA, died on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville with Pastor Aaron Stark officiating. Burial will be in the Lineville Evergreen Cemetery.
Open visitation and viewing will begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, where the family visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Duffield was born on Nov. 20, 1929 in Mercer County, the daughter of William Andrew and Dora Maye Ragan Cox. She was raised in Mercer County and was a graduate of Mercer High School. She lived most of her life in Lineville, where she was a member of the American Legion auxiliary and the Baptist church. She enjoyed life and the outdoors, spending many hours in her garden and flower beds.
She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Melbourn and her husband, Ron of Des Moines; three sons, Alan Duffield and his companion, Janet of Des Moines, Arnold Duffield of Lineville and Alex Duffield of Chariton, IA; seven grandchildren, Angie Shaffer and her husband, Josh, Brian Moore and his wife, Juliette, Alex Duffield Jr. and his wife, Jessica, Amanda Duffield, Lacy Martinez, Richard Duffield Jr., and Marcy Duffield; 10 great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Autumn Bauer, Lupe Martinez, Trevor, Connor and Logan Duffield, Haylee and Hanna Shaffer, and Taylor and Tylar Moore; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Clone Dale Duffield; a great-grandchild, Alexis Bauer; and a brother, Clinton Cox.
