Former Trenton Lady Bulldog and Central Methodist University pitcher Aubrey Utley picked up her 10th win of the season Thursday after facing just one batter. Utley entered the second game of CMU’s doubleheader with Evangel University in the seventh inning. Evangel had the bases loaded and one out and held a 5-4 lead. Utley got the first batter she faced to ground the ball back to her and started an inning-ending double-play. CMU then scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the game 6-5 and give Utley the win.
Utley moved to 10-1 on the season with the victory.
