The Grundy R-5 fifth and sixth grade basketball tournament continued Wednesday night in Galt as Pleasant View R-6 faced off with Newtown-Harris and Grundy R-5 battled Laredo.

Pleasant View was able to get the win over Newtown in the girls game, winning 23-14. Brittany Wilson led the Lady Blue Jays with 20 points, while Katie Blanchard led Newtown with six. Newtown took the boys game 22-11. The Tigers were led by 20 points from Keone Stanton, who had 20, while Cole Schilling led Pleasant View with four.
Grundy swept Laredo in the other two games, winning the girls game 18-5 and the boys game 18-14. Matana Munday led the Lady Panthers with seven points and Bryson Gann led the Panthers with eight points. No individual scores were reported for Laredo.
