The Livingston County R-3 Board of Education held a meeting Tuesday evening at Chula, hearing a teacher proposal, discussing the budget and approving fields trips.

According to information provided by the district, the board apparently took no action on the teacher proposals for the 2011-2012 school year. An update was given on the current school budget and it was agreed to take bids on the 2010-2011 school audit. In addition several board policies were revised, with another policy added and one rescinded. Administrator Jocelyn Meservey gave the principal’s report.
The board approved a preschool/kindergarten trip to Barnes Greenhouses in April and approved an eighth grade field trip to Kansas City on March 21.
An executive session was held to discuss personnel, with no announcement made. The board is scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, April 12.
